Bakhar Banevia: The Fitness Queen Who Overcame a Difficult Past
As a child, Bakhar was bullied at school for having very thin legs. This bullying was traumatic and marked her childhood, but it also motivated her to change. Determined to transform her life, she joined a gym, despite knowing nothing about weight training. With great courage and determination, she began training every day, pushing herself to her limits and working to change her physique.
Beginning in Fitness and Bodybuilding
At first, Bakhar didn’t follow a structured training plan; she simply did what she believed would work, focusing on building muscle mass. Over time, her curiosity led her to read books and magazines on fitness and bodybuilding, allowing her to acquire the knowledge necessary to maximize her results. A decisive moment in her career was when she began to see significant muscle growth, motivating her to train with greater intensity and focus.
Career in Fitness Modeling
In 2013, Bakhar competed for the first time in the bikini fitness category, placing fifth. However, she didn’t enjoy the strict diets required to compete professionally, as she prefers a more balanced approach to nutrition. This led her to focus on fitness modeling, where she found her true passion. Today, she shares her training routines and lifestyle on social media and has earned the nickname “Miss Iron Bum” for her impressive glute development.
Training and Diet
Bakhar focuses on training her quadriceps, glutes, and hamstrings, with key exercises like squats, cable kickbacks, and leg presses. Her favorite exercises include hip thrusts, deadlifts, and squats. Her workouts are intense and effective, typically consisting of 4 sets of 12 reps with heavy weights.
Since early 2022, she has worked with her trainer Kaká Marvila, attributing much of her recent progress to the routines he designs, especially for glutes and legs.
Admiring Brazilian fitness models, particularly Gracyanne Barbosa, Bakhar has developed her own training style to achieve a body aesthetic similar to her idol.
As for her diet, Bakhar is not a fan of extreme restrictions. She eats six times a day, focusing on consuming as many calories as possible without including unhealthy fats and sugars. Her favorite cheat meal is pizza, and among her preferred foods are meat, eggs, and cake.
