Facing the challenge of losing pregnancy weight, Sascha documented her process on social media, sharing recipes and workout routines. Her Training Routine
One of the most talked-about aspects of Sascha’s transformation is her glutes. In a period of two and a half years, Sascha significantly increased the size of her glutes through a combination of specific training and proper nutrition.
Sascha Fitness has adjusted her training routine to focus on her specific goals. Currently, she trains her glutes three times a week, including some leg work. Her training sessions consist of key exercises such as squats, hip thrusts, deadlifts, lunges, leg press, and some isolated exercises like kickbacks.
Progressive overload is a fundamental principle in her training. Every 6 to 8 weeks, Sascha evaluates her progress to determine if she can increase the weight or repetitions, ensuring she continues to challenge her muscles and promote growth.
Sascha took advantage of the postpartum period to effectively use the excess fat, managing to increase her muscle mass without excess. This balanced and sustained approach over two and a half years allowed her to achieve her goals healthily and realistically.
Her Nutrition Philosophy
Regarding nutrition, Sascha believes it is not necessary to be in a constant caloric surplus to increase muscle mass. Several studies support this claim, especially if one has a very low and almost athletic body fat percentage. In these cases, a caloric surplus is necessary to grow. However, if there is some body fat, existing reserves can help in the muscle-building process.
Protein is a vital and non-negotiable macronutrient in Sascha’s diet. It is essential for the formation of enzymes, hormones, muscle tissue, among others. For Sascha, protein is the “queen” of the diet, followed by fats and then carbohydrates. She consumes protein sources such as chicken, eggs, fish, and protein powder and does not hesitate to include beef in her diet. Protein is crucial for muscle building as it provides the necessary amino acids.
Sascha has also ventured into the world of supplements with high-quality products.
